INTERRUPTED CIRCLE
The name of Camp Maranatha comes from two Aramean words,
Maran'athah meaning "our Lord comes" or "is coming". This meaning
is significant to the purpose and intention of camp and is illustrated by our logo.
What at first appears as a C resting on an M actually represents an
interrupted circle--the routine of life being interrupted and reshaped
by a mountain-top experience with God.
The jagged mountain shape, within the interrupted circle stops a going-in circles
life in its tracks with a line that points upward showing how
God's people are to always live in readiness, knowing "our Lord is coming"
to establish His Kingdom.
Our hope is that your time at Camp Maranatha will not only interrupt the
circle that represents your day to day life, but will reshape your life to meet
with God in every ordinary day as you live in glad expectation of His coming Kingdom.
